As a professional wrestling fan, I enjoy seeing groups being formed. Sometimes power is best in numbers and when stables and the like are brought together, it's easy to see just how robust they can become. However, as much of a fan as I am, I can still think within the parameters of reality and I can see that such groups wouldn't be so effective in the world of business. When attaining accounts receivable, there are other ways to go about it.
When talking about unions in wrestling today, the one that seems to be focused on the most these days is called the Shield. Three men with an agenda make up this group: Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. They have been nothing short of dangerous, attacking wrestlers who they believed have been causing injustices. They claim to be the ones to right the many wrongs in the company, but their message appears to be skewed, which wouldn't make them the best choice in this industry where debts are abundant.
Such an industry works under a certain set of guidelines and each of them can be found under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Essentially, the act of collecting accounts receivable requires payments that are made from a customer to a business for services. However, they have to be collected under the proper means. There can be no sign of immorality and reputable companies such as Rapid Recovery are ones to look at if you are searching for the best one to work for you.
Judging from what I've seen on TV, I don't think that the Shield would go about this line of work any differently from wrestling. I believe that they would still threaten people in the real world with bodily or emotional harm. This means they would go against every convention in the FDCPA, which would undoubtedly lead them into a world of legal straits in great numbers. This would be a world that not even a strong group like this would be able to lead themselves out of easily.
I enjoy seeing wrestling stables as much as the next wrestling fan but even I can admit that there are situations where they wouldn't work out so well. Bringing them into the world that we live in could only pose problems. People don't want to be threatened when business has to be done, which is why I feel like many debtors fail to pay up. Money has to be collected, though, and it has to be done through the means which are considered to be standard.
